Start your New Year’s Eve off with the funky fresh sounds of DJ Body Rock followed by a fun set from the Folkadelics. DJ Body Rock hails from Ann Arbor, MI and is a dance floor shaker, producer and musician who also performs with Ella Riot/My Dear Disco. He spins a set of ’80s and ’90s dance hits including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince and more. To ring in the New Year, the Folkadelics (this is not your parents’ folk) take the stage with a unique blend of rock, reggae, hip-hop and funk, led by four-part vocal harmonies. This NY-based band recently finished up on a tour that included opening acts for Dark Star Orchestra, Rusted Root, Keller Williams and Girl Talk. The Folkadelics blur the lines between musical genres and plays an infectious set that is guaranteed to get you on the dance floor.
This is their 4th annual New Year’s Eve show for their hometown fans.
