Jazz is PHSH Returns to NYC with members of the Dave Matthews Band, Snarky Puppy, & More

On Saturday, November 26, the all-star instrumental tribute, JAZZ is PHSH, will perform two special Thanksgiving shows at the Cutting Room in New York City. The first concert is a mostly-seated performance where the band will play their upcoming record, He Never Spoke a Word, in its entirety, while the proceeding show will be a standing dance party.

Special guest performers include Jeff Coffin (sax, Dave Matthews Band, The Flecktones), Felix Pastorius (bass, Cindy Blackman Group, The YellowJackets, The Mu’tet), Chris Bullock (sax, Snarky Puppy), Justin Stanton (trumpet, Snarky Puppy), Adam Dotson (trombone, Rubblebucket), Josh Myers (bass, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds), Jay Rodriguez (sax, Miles Davis, Groove Collective) and more.

JAZZ IS PHSH is an all-star instrumental tribute to Phish, founded by The Chase Brothers (Adam & Matthew), also known for their popular tribute, The James Brown Dance Party and their original projects which had them performing with Santana, Aerosmith, Crosby Stills & Nash, Victor Wooten, Derek Trucks & more.

Inspired by Jazz Is Dead, The Chase Brothers teamed up with a cast of all-star musicians to create an album that pays tribute to Phish while reinterpreting the music in an instrumental jazz/funk setting. The forthcoming album, “He Never Spoke A Word” features an impressive roster of musicians that includes the drumming legend Dennis Chambers as well as Michael Ray (trumpet, Sun Ra, Kool And The Gang, Phish), Jeff Coffin (sax, Dave Matthews Band, Flecktones), Kofi Burbridge (keys, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Aquarium Rescue Unit), Carl “Geerz” Gerhard (trumpet, Phish’s Giant Country Horns), Chris Bullock (sax, Snarky Puppy), Grant Green Jr. (guitar, Groove Masters), Anthony Wellington (bass, Victor Wooten Band), and many other incredible musicians!
