John Popper and others join Topaz onstage

On Saturday night (Dec. 27th) Topaz performed his annual holiday gig in New York City. He returned to Sullivan Hall for a performance that drew in a number of musicians including Will Bernard, Eric Kalb, Justin Wallace and Al Torres. In addition, John Popper made an appearance, contributing to RL Burnside song “Going South” and the Topaz original “Yonder Funk.” Topaz is off until New Year’s Eve when he will appear with his current group, Mudphonic, at the Blue Nile in New Orleans.
