Carbon Leaf Brings Their Autumn Tones to NY This Fall

The band Carbon Leaf has no expectations. That has been their credo since the beginning. But for a band that expects nothing, Carbon Leaf has managed to amass an embarrassment of riches. Formed in the early nineties while attending Randolph-Macon college, Carbon Leaf has crafted a nice, little career for themselves through constant touring and prolific song-writing. The sound is a bit alt-country, a bit blue grass with a smidgen of Celtic.

Their songs are fueled by beauty and harmony without being too saccharine. There is a depth and a poetry to Carbon Leaf’s message and, as a result, they have generated a loyal, and diverse following of music lovers from all parts of the country.

Catch Carbon Leaf, which adds Celtic (pennywhistle, bodhran) and country (mandolin, lap steel) flavors to its stylings, with special guests Delta Rae
