Sat 7/28 Disco Biscuits’ DrFameus
One-man band DrFameus, aka Allen Aucoin of the Disco Biscuits, creates beats and electronic music through his versatile drumming techniques paired with stylistic use of computer software. Allen explores many different approaches to music with his alter ego DrFameus that ranges from, drum n’ bass, dubstep, to techno/house music.
His influences come from LTJ Buken, Squarepusher, and Aphex Twin. Allen is also a fan of Crystal Method, Chemical Brothers, Beck, and EOTO.
Accompanying DrFameus is special guests Roots Collider. Sweeping upstate NY in 2010, the four guys of Roots Collider have used their dubstep and electro-rock to grab attention from such acts as Dub Trio, Conspirator, and Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad. They’ve shared the stage with 12th Planet and GTA while recording in Bunker Studios where The Black Keys, Matisyahu, Moby, and ?uestLove have all recorded albums.
