CEG Presents, Nolafunk, and The Chase Family presents The Summer FUNKtion, an intimate show featuring live sets by The James Brown Dance Party and Sly Stone Tribute: A Family Affair featuring members of Snarky Puppy, Rubblebucket, Talib Kweli, and more on Friday, July 27 at nublu 151 (Ave. C).

A Family Affair: Sly Stone Tribute sold out nublu 151 in advance at their May 12th appearance and they will return WITH The James Brown Dance Party who sold over 1000 tickets for their Gramercy Theatre shows in December and Highline Ballroom shows July of 2017. Fewer than 200 tickets will be available to the public for this exclusive and intimate show!

This musical tribute to Sly and the Family Stone and The James Brown Dance Party will include brothers Adam and Matt Chase of the James Brown Dance Party and Jazz is PHSH with Chris Rob (Talib Kweli), Michelle Willis (David Crosby), Chris Bullock (Snarky Puppy), Justin Stanton (Snarky Puppy), Adam Dotson (Rubblebucket), Felix Pastroius (Mu’tet), and more. DJ Boomtown (Chris Bullock) will spin MJ and Prince after each band does a 90 minute performance.
