Since 1990, Dillon has been devoted to the study of vibraphone and tabla drumming, working intensely with Indian tabla master, Aloke Dutta, and jazz vibraphonist, Bill Ware, of the Jazz Passengers. Reflected in the music he plays and composes are his vast musical influences spanning jazz greats Milt Jackson, John Coltrane and Thelonious Monk, singer-songwriters artists, Nick Drake and Elliot Smith, and hardcore punk bands such as The Minutemen, Mr. Bungle and Bad Brains.
