No introduction is needed for CQMD, godfathers of modern European marching bands, all-night groovers and tireless globe-trotters (30 countries to date). After a 19-year career, 8 albums and more than a 1000 concerts, CQMD is still making the whole planet dance. The Funk is their style. Wether it be Second Line, Go-Go, P-Funk or Rocksteady (Jamaican Soul) Funk is always the central ingredient in their English compositions. After rubbing shoulders with the big names of the genre (Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Bootsy Collins, The Neville Brothers) and even jamming with french rapper Joeystarr at the Paris Olympia in 2007, CQMD confirm that the funk is synonymous with “joie de vivre” and eternal youth ! Their shows are intense and energetic punctuated with descents into the audience with their wireless system to the delight of dancers around the world.
